Waterloo, Belgium, situated just 15 kilometers south of Brussels, serves as a pivotal location for Mastercard's European headquarters. Recently renovated, our campus-like office is now a modern and vibrant work environment, housing a diverse array of staff from local Belgian business teams to broader European functions, including Product Development and Management, Legal, HR, Finance, and the European Cyber Resilience Centre.
Nestled in the heart of one of the most cosmopolitan countries, Belgium, known for its rich cultural diversity and international character, our Waterloo office serves as the central hub for Mastercard's leadership team in Europe. It serves as a strategic hub, overseeing operations across 57 offices in 28 countries within the region. Within this centre, we've cultivated a vibrant community of talent from across Mastercard's global network, forming a cybersecurity hub that serves the entire region. This collaboration empowers us to work closely with law enforcement agencies and our valued customers, accelerating intelligence sharing and leading a joint response to cybercrime.
